Pending NM State Record Black Bear

Jicarilla Hunt - Wednesday, September 28, 2016

Big News!

A black bear harvested this Spring on the Jicarilla Apache Nation has been measured by a B&C official measurer in Texas to be the new NM State Record.  The score of 23 1/16 surpasses the old record by a whopping 1 2/16"! As it stands, this black bear would be in the top 10 in the world.

Congratulations to the hunter Thomas B. Lyne III, and his Jicarilla guide Duane Callado.

Hope your fall is going well!
